I run EBC greens. Really nice bite, cold or hot, stock quiet, and a little less dusty than the yellows.
I use EBC Yellows for my STR NC and like them a lot.
I recommend ebc blues to everyone and always get positive feedback, they bite better than oem cold and way better warm they are very dusty though.
EBC yellows have been great for me. Minimal squeal and moderate dust I also tried a set of OEM style ceramic pads but faded them on a high speed autox course.
ebc yellows were great dual duty pads when I used them, but dusty. They feel good on the street and the few hard brake tests I've done felt like they bite well, much better than the OEM quality pads I had.
EBC redstuff, stoptech, OEM. All good pads. I think the redstuff pads dust a little less than OEM, but stopping power is really good from the factory for street driving.
I like OEM or stoptech rotors, again street driving.
I don’t tend to get a lot of life out of pads, but so far OEM rotors seem to last as long as 2 sets of pads. I just put on the stoptech rotors last time I did a brake job, so far so good.
I run the yellows on my rear brakes on my MK6 GoRf which is tracked. happy with all but yellows dust significantly more than reds
EBC Reds are great all arounders and excellent daily use pads on the R32 ,imo.
I recently installed EBC redstuff with new rotors. Did the bed in procedure and worked great for first 300 miles or so. Today, I noticed a really loud squeaking noise coming from one of my wheels. Noise starts after brakes are warmed up, and increases when turning the wheel. Goes away when I apply the brakes. Think my pads might be glazed after some sprites driving, but not like I’ve done anything crazy.
I recently changed the brakes on my MK7.5 Non PP GTI, I chose EBC Redstuff for the disks and pads. I have bedded them in and driven a bit over this per the manual, for the first few weeks I didn't have any issues and they are a lot grabbier than the OEM ones. But with some recent spirited driving, I found that these pads under light to heavy breaking on the front get cooked in less than a mile. Ended up coming to a corner and the pedal was firm, then it wasn't and it was squirming about and not slowing. Getting out of the vehicle I found the pads were smoking really badly as well the heat coming off them had turned the disks blue on the front, while the rears were warm, but nowhere near as bad as the front. The OEM pads took way more abuse, even then they would just judder when they go too hot and never fadded or gave the same symptoms.
