My local dealer has the “value service” pricing on BMW USA’s website, front rotors/pads/sensors on an 18 330 x drive for $419.95 front and $435.95 rear.
I installed R56 front brakes.
I buy a lot of denso parts, gates or continental generally for belts and such. Centric for brakes.
IMO do not put anything OEM on the car as a replacement. Find something with a better pad/rotor combo that doesn't leave deposits Ilike Centric stuff a lot with the Ceramic pads. Good combo
Centric ceramic brake pads
I switched to Centric PosiQuiet Ceramic Pads and not only they brake better, but produces little to no dust.
I have 28k miles on my 2017 G2, the brake fluid was almost black. I flushed it all out, and I noticed some very minor air bubbles when we started initially pumping the brake fluid. I also switched over to new Centric pads and rotors. Much improved brake feel and firmness
I've been running Centric for a while. Good price, not much dust, they work ok. Not much grab when very cold (ambient temp below 40), but they warm up pretty damn quick, so not a huge deal. Never heard a single squeak, so 10/10 for noise.
I have just put posi-quiets on my PP GTI and I'm experiencing vibration while driving at highway speed (68-80 mph, worst at 75ish). Re-checked torques and the faces of hubs/wheels were clean. Will go in for a balance but is it possible I got a **** rotor or something? Possible I have a bent hub and didn't realize it until the rotors were swapped?
The brakes. Looks all OE. The dust is unbelievable awful.
