I installed the ProActs on a different vehicle (wife's Lexus) and from here on out, it will be my go to pad. Just seems to stop smoother, quieter, and less dust than the OE.

Pros: smoother, quieter, less dust

toyota uses akebono as an oem manufacturer for most of their brake pads. i run akebonos on my car and they run amazing. akebonos are one of the best ceramic pads imo and they last a long time with no noise and barely any brake dust.

Pros: last a long time, no noise
Cons: barely any brake dust

I've always used Akebono pads for my E90 and F30. Some say they work as well as OEM but produce less brake dust. I've never had issues with them and happy with performance for daily use.

Pros: less brake dust, good performance

put Akebono pads on my 335is that I use for weekend/track car. Many have recommended them for their low brake dust. However, they’re missing that initial bite and since my car is pushing some power, it feels slippery when driving in the street if they haven’t been warmed up.

Pros: low brake dust
Cons: missing initial bite, slippery when cold

Akebono Brake pads

I bought these Akebono brake pads (model AN-813KG) while in Japan. The store salesman assured me they would fit the rear brakes of my 2011 Lexus IS 350. However, when I tried to research online, I could only find information linking this model to the Toyota Sienta (2017). Before returning to my home country, I need to decide whether to keep them or return them.

Cons: incorrect fitment
Vehicle: Lexus IS
Part number: AN-813KG
