I just recently did the back brakes at 37k and the fronts last weekend at 39k on my 2020 M340i. Dealer said rotors were at min thickness last June but I waited for the sensors to actually trip and even then I got 1k+ miles with a good bit of pad life left still. Went with Zimmerman rotors and OEM pads from FCP Euro and second that combo. I read too many hit or miss stories about non-OEM pads, I don’t track my car, and brake dust aside like OEM brake feel.
Yes. Replace the rotors with each service. I run Zimmerman rotors and either BMW or TRW pads.
I'm using Zimmerman rotors and Textar pads. 11k miles and no complaints so far.
Can’t go wrong with Zimmerman blanks and OEM pads.
Running Zimmerman rotors with Porterfield R4S pads on mine. Brake dust is considerably less than the stock set up.
I just replaced all 4 rotors and pads last weekend. Found a good deal on Zimmerman rotors and TRW pads. My little diesel wagon is happy now. :)
i have zimmermann rotors on the rear and they look like new after one year and no rust unlike others in bought before and since then. Will buy them again. Zimmermann is good quality.
I’ve used Zimmerman for years, including beating them to crap at the track. Never any issues.
When I did my rear brake rotors I did zimmerman but I wish I did the meyle ones that don't rust. The "hub" part in the rear is covered in surface rust.
Tbh drilled Zimmermann Discs are imho Junk. They use OEM Discs. Had so many Problems with Vibrations, warped Discs and so on.
