I used TRW XPS rotor and TRW DTEC pads on my city previously, drive rather spiritually on weekend rides at most of the famous B-roads in KV. No problem in stopping, bite points has improved over the stock
Trw rotors are good. Using for 4 years still vigorous and holds well even entensive abuse and torture.
I paid 180 euros for all rotors and pads from TRW and Brembo. Worked fine for me.
TRW, ATE, or Zimmermann rotors. All 3 are absolute top quality.
i have detroit axle slotted and ventilated, might be drilled idk don’t feel like checking rn lol, brakes nd they’ve been pretty good the past few months i’ve had em
On my Honda CRV I've found the best value for money for driving on Michigan salted roads are the Deteoit Axle OEM coated rotor & pad re0lacement kit, comes with inserts, grease, top up brake fluid, brake cleaner, eventually the electroplated coating on the braking surface wears off from braking & you get rust spots if they sit outside covered in the salt slush, but the hub mating surfaces & venting fins been covered in 2 Michigan winters of snow & salt & still not a spot of rust on the rotor.
Rotors for my 25 year old car with a discount cost like 50 eur per set and they not the worst ones, but something known like TRW.
On the way back it started shuttering bad while breaking, especially down hill. I took it back to the place that did the brakes and they said front rotors were overheated. The parts are TRW (pads and rotors).
I've got cheap discs 15K miles ago and I've got terrible judder under braking (when brakes are hot) for the last 10K miles..I was thinking to replace the front ones with trw discs and jurid pads
Using trw rotors and akebono brake pads now.. trw rotors very quick to bend..less than 1 year .. My friend using trw rotors also have the same problem.. btw, we are driving different brand and car model.. so please avoid at all cost..
