Brake discs Raybestos or OEM Volkswagen

Raybestos Element 3 pads and rotors. Inexpensive, maintains factory brake feel and won't rust out.

I went with Raybestos Element 3 rotors and pads. I live in New England so plenty of salt. Getting into my 2nd winter on them and they still look new.

On the side/personal vehicles? Raybestos coated rotors with OEM pads or Wagner OEX pads every time. Consistent quality, smooth strong braking and low dust.

Purchased brake pads and rotors off of Rock Auto.

Put the Raybestos ones on my 19 turbo 2 years ago and have been happy with them.

One of my front rotors on my 2019 was showing significant grooving by about 1500 miles. At 12k miles, it isn't really all that much worse. No pulsing or judder.

Yup. My front were grooved, rears were "diagnosed" as warped by VW techs. 12k miles. New pads and rotors has 7000 miles, haven't noticed anything yet.

Am I right to be upset that I was told the rotors are warped because I went through a puddle with hot brakes? Costing me $1300 to fix!

I've posted on here before, but my front rotors were grooved from the day of purchase (only a few lines), and has progressively gotten worse. Of course, last tech inspection, the tech said I had warped rotors, and needed a new set.
