Just bought the powerstop rotors and oem break pads and they worked great. Just make sure buy the squeak shims or they make noise.

Pros: worked great
Cons: make noise without shims
Part number: JBR1900XPR

POWER STOP Brake discs

Powerstop drilled/slotted on mine for like 70k and they’ve been great. Oddly enough it looks like the fronts will outlast the rears.

Pros: they've been great
Vehicle: Infiniti
Mileage: 70000 km

Brembo Brake discs

About a year ago I looked up on a lot of forums and decided to order the original blank face rotors from brembo and EBC red stuff pads front & back. Was about $600 to 700 with the brakes pads being the most money.

Pros: original rotors, good performance
Cons: pads are expensive

Powerstop is one of the best option for brakes. I'm planning of using them when I need new pads and rotors. I've used them on a few projects and have never been disappointed. In fact, I like them better compared to oem rotors with akebono pads.

Pros: best option for brakes, never disappointed

I also had this dilemma. Brembo discs / pads are mostly just marketing, they're not magical brakes but when it comes to standard brakes they're usually better and longer lasting than others.

Pros: better and longer lasting
Cons: mostly just marketing

Brembo Brake discs

I purchased the LS400 brake calipers brand new from the Lexus dealership. I used brand new aftermarket Brembo brand OEM spec brake rotors as well. When I picked the car up from them with the LS400 brakes installed, the front brakes squealed badly immediately.

Cons: front brakes squealed badly
Vehicle: Lexus

The Brembo rotors for the i3 are the poorer quality than the OEM Zimmermann. Don't waste your money. Brake dust is not a big concern in general since it washes off easily, especially for the i3.

Pros: washes off easily
Cons: poorer quality than OEM
Vehicle: BMW
