Brake caliper Brembo or OEM Audi

Brembo Brake caliper

Nice! I put a set of gold Brembos on my 2017 WRX. You're right, they're overkill, but they sure look nice and work great.

Pros: look nice, work great
Cons: overkill

Brembo Brake caliper

If your tires are on par with your brakes however... 6 piston Brembos are the greatest upgrade ever. I had a set on a mustang, and an S4 and I have to say it is not just that last level of locking up that they are good for. They’re smooth, they’re progressive.

Pros: smooth, progressive braking

Brembo Brake caliper

Well worth the money considering the increase in braking performance. It stops HARD now. A significant improvement over OEM. All things considered, I am SO pleased with the performance. I am glad I decided to do the 4-piston 1LE setup instead of the 6-piston 17Z or 18Z calipers. While it’s not really a direct ‘bolt on’ solution, the small amount of work that’s required to get everything to fit is worth the time invested.

Pros: stops HARD now, significant improvement over OEM
Cons: not a direct bolt on, work required to fit

The Panigale V4 is fitted exclusively with brand new Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers – the latest evolution of the MO one-finger endorsed M50. Machined from a single piece of alloy, these have lighter-weight areas in the mounting bushings and in the body, which make them visually more compact and give a weight reduction of 70 grams per caliper with no compromise in rigidity. Changes to internal venting improve hydraulic performance for excellent fingertip feel, shorter lever travel and “prompt response.” Each Stylema caliper is packing four 30mm pistons.

Pros: excellent fingertip feel

I just put the audi 2 piston calipers and SS lines on the front of my 2.0. Also put ATE super blue in. Haven't done ther rear conversion or lines yet. What I have noticed is that the pedal goes further before it starts to clamp, but when it does..... its almost like driving a hummer, if any of you have you know what i mean. Any ideas on the reason for that change?

Pros: abrupt clamp
Cons: pedal goes further

Brembo Brake caliper

I had lots of issues with my OEM M3 brakes. Not only did they overheat within a few laps regardless of pads and fluid, but also the feel was bad. Hard to modulate, squishy pedal, just no bueno. The OEM ones are single piston floating calipers. Bad.

Upgrade to Brembo 4 piston and even with cheap pads on the same rotors the pedal is way nicer, predictable, and is way easier to threshold brake.

Pros: better pedal feel, predictable braking
Cons: overheating, bad feel, squishy pedal
