I have the Yellow top in my 1983 Scrambler and have had no problems with it. I treat it awful in winter I will go weeks with out driving it and then crank the jeep and go use the winch and lights sometimes idle for long periods and the not drive for a few more weeks. Cranks every time.

Pros: reliable, cranks every time
Vehicle: Jeep

Duralast Battery

Just replaced a Duralast (Autozone?) yesterday in my Silverado. It was from 11/09. It had a pretty good run in several vehicles of mine.

Pros: pretty good run
Vehicle: Chevrolet Silverado

OPTIMA Battery

I like them and that's what I use in my Toyota (Lexus). Had it a couple of years and so far so good. One neat thing about the Optimas is that since it's 100% sealed there's no worry about tipping it or having to wear gloves during transport and installation. It's also lighter.

Pros: 100% sealed, lighter, reliable
Vehicle: Toyota

OPTIMA Battery

Get an Optima battery and the battery minder - it's just a trickle charger that slow charges the battery to a certain voltage and then turns itself off. That's what I use in my S2000.

Pros: slow charges the battery
Vehicle: Honda S2000

Agreed with others, weigh your usage and environment/climate into the equation. We will personally be replacing ours with a deep discharge battery like the Optima Yellow, since I've noticed that of recent we've been running a lot quick errands that involve one person running in while everyone else hangs out in the car with A/C on.

Pros: deep discharge battery
Vehicle: Subaru Legacy

So I've been looking to replace the stock battery doesn't seem to hold a charge as well as before. Always wanted to put an Optima Yellow Top in it

Cons: doesn't hold charge well
Vehicle: Volkswagen

OPTIMA Battery

Every optima battery I have seen in customer vehicles (I'm an auto tech) goes to crap in about 6 months to a year. I think these types of batteries are more sensitive to low voltages. They also don't hold up at all during the freezing winter months.

Cons: short lifespan, sensitive to low voltage, poor winter performance

I had an optima in my garage queen, wasn't even hooked up most of the time(unhooked it till I wanted to drive/work on it). it died 2 years and one month later, with MAYBE 1000 miles on it, no replacement/etc. now it's a doorstop in my garage.

Cons: died prematurely, no replacement
Mileage: 1000 km
