So on P3 cars, this light appears incredibly often. But since you’re at the point of your car not starting, you need a battery.
You don’t need to program anything to install a battery.. 2019 s90 if u want to save some money make sure u have the correct battery install at your local service center
I have seen some test results on ID3 after 100000 km and still everything is quite good on the car. Battery is not damaged like on a cellphone if that is your worry.
I had a 2004 Volvo s60 with a battery that lasted 15 years before I changed it. The mechanics were impressed. Really helped that it was located in the trunk.
My 2014 jetta TDI does the exact same thing as in your video when the battery is dying. I've had the car now for 6 years and it's happened 3 times. If the alternator checks out fine, then I would attempt a new battery.
Change it when it can no longer meat a battery test to spec, which has good margin before it starts causing issues, like freaked out ECU or hard starting.
On a Jetta, it will leave you stranded, and it being a VW, the symptoms will be nothing like a dead battery, most likely.
Only things that went a couple months back was the EGR and a window mechanism. And the battery a year before.
Paid charging is problematic mainly because the T8 charges so slow. You'd have to leave your car at a charger for like 5.5 hours to fill the battery.
I had an Volvo XC90 hybrid. The car is ok, but the battery/motor part is garbage. It has a 10kwh battery, but can only drive for 18 miles on battery, the energy efficiency is way low than my model X.
