Battery OEM Nissan or OEM BMW

OEM Nissan Battery

Mmmm interesting, u must have bought a lemon. I Bought a new Nissan Deisel Ute in 2018, been all over the country, does heaps of Ks and towing. Original Nissan battery is only just showing signs of needing replacement. I can't complain.

Pros: showing signs of replacement

OEM Nissan Battery

My Nissan Leaf battery, which everyone on Reddit with an electric car they bought yesterday is very sure will die any minute, has yet to lose any of its range after 6 years and 50k miles.

Pros: no range loss
Vehicle: Nissan Leaf
Mileage: 80467 km

Tried them all at some point and whatever BMW OE does to those they last 2-3X longer. I literally just replaced a 14 year old battery last September….fuckin insane longevity with the OEM ones.

Pros: long lifespan, excellent durability

My 2015 Leaf has 148k on it and still drives like new. The battery is down to about 85% but this is pretty old lithium tech with very early thermal controls on it.

Pros: drives like new, low maintenance
Cons: battery down to 85%
Vehicle: Nissan Leaf
Mileage: 148000 km

OEM Nissan Battery

My EV is 8 this year. I've not noticed a drop in range over that time, but I'll find out when it goes in for its last battery health check before the warranty expires.

Pros: no drop in range

OEM BMW Battery

Pros: robuste Batterie
Cons: 10-15% Reichweitenverlust
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 80000 km

OEM Nissan Battery

I went through the same last month. 2019 Nissan LEAF I bought as a Certified Used Car from a Nissan dealership out of state last year with only 6,998 miles on it. They included the Nissan Factory Wrap warranty and I also bought an extended power chain warranty ( with a really good discount) too. My car was 52 months old when I experienced the No Start condition due to the 12 volt battery.

Vehicle: Nissan Leaf
Mileage: 11263 km

We're having the same issue on our 22 Pathfinder. We're on our second battery. The first was replaced under warranty in January '24 after failing and stranding my wife out of town in the cold. It took 6 hours of testing before they would approve replacement.

Cons: failed in the cold
Vehicle: Nissan Pathfinder
