Been pretty happy with my Exide/Durastart batteries. Have yet to see one die. Been using them for the past 5-6 years.
Last batteries I’ve owned where Exide Sonnak, very happy with price, longevity and performance.
Exide are good made in usa
I just purchased an Exide battery at Home Depot yesterday for my 2002 Jetta Wagon. It was only $109.99.....about $50 less expensive than anything comparable in any of the big 4 parts stores, locally. It also has the best warranty of all of them (3 year replacement).
OK so today I picked up a battery from EuroCarParts, not a pukka VW one but a 100AH Exide Premium one with 5 year warranty. I've had good luck with Exide before so I was happy to go with it
Any tips or advice before I fork out money for a new battery? I have some anxiety hoping its not the alternator dying, or less likely the starter. All things point to a slowly dying battery but I want a second opinion.
The OEM battery sucks I upgraded mine to an AGM with an extra 100 or so CCA. A better battery will also let your auto start stop last longer. Stock battery would never last a stop light for while under load new battery gives me a lot more time even under load.
My battery keeps dying if I dont use my car for 1-2 days and Subaru is failing to address the issues.
Subaru has had a problem with their electrical systems since 2014. Batteries last 2 years, max. 2018 legacy is on its third battery in 4 years. 13,000 miles. $600.00 in batteries.
Subaru batteries aren't great in the cold either
