Alternator OEM Toyota or VALEO
2004 Camry, had it since my grandfather, did not break down a single time and still on oem stuffs except an alternators and some brake. The most reliable daily I ever had.
Cheapest for me was a new Valeo unit from Rockauto. Cheaper than Turner too.
+1 for Valeo. This job wasn\u2019t fun.
I replaced mine with an oem valeo
Uma pesquisa no auto doc, tens alternadores Valeo entre os 230 e os 350.
Yesterday I replaced my 90A B brand alternator (thank you, previous 8 owners) with a Valeo 120 Amp unit. So far seems to be working fine with 14.15V to the battery at idle and with minimal or max power draw.
Just did my girlfriends Highlander. PITA!! Like others stated, you'll save yourself $1000, but you're gonna be there for a while.
FWIW when I had to replace the alternator on my 2008 last summer, the dealer only had OEM Toyota remans. The first one had a bad regulator or something and was clicking like crazy out of the box. They exchanged it no questions but said that's nearly never happened. Next one has been fine.
The indy shop I used diagnosed it as a bad alternator; I am so lucky ( s a r c a s m ) to have the Valeo (mega $$$$$) unit, they swapped it out a week later.
The alternator was replaced, car died again two weeks later. The Valeo OEM was deemed defective. Back in the shop for a warranty change, still getting voltage fluctuations.
