I worked at a parts place and denso reman is the best. People hear reman and think it’s cheap, but denso is literally the OEM, they take it apart and replace the internals with new ones.
I replaced the my 2010's alternator with a reman denso from RockAuto. Did it myself. Pretty straightforward. I would say a reman denso is better than a new non denso. Some cheap alternators are very unreliable. I've had no issues thus far. It's been about 4 months.
Denso is reputable and quality I doubt you'd run into any issues
I got a denso alternator at Napa for $375-ish. I was a happy pappy
Mine went out at like 105k swapped out a Bosch immediately but if not always go with denso.
It was a brand new denso and no leaks
Defective alternator. Get it exchanged under warranty. Unfortunately, lots of remanufactured alternators from parts stores don't perform up to spec. It would best to get a new or remanufactured from Hyundai or a reliable brand such as Denso.
Just make sure to buy either new OEM, used OEM, or a good rebuild like Denso. Parts store ones have a bad record of either being bad directly out of the box, or crapping out in short order.
Don\u2019t get a Bosch
Don't get JAS or OEX. Had both, didn't last long. Chinese crap. Went back to the OEM 110A Denso unit.
