I had mine replaced in November by a local shop. They recalibrated eyesight and it works fine. The new windshield is the Plinkington glass which I heard is more durable than the factory.
Owner reviews for windshield
I just had my windshield on my 2024 z06 replaced and it was only $1300 with calibration with an OEM windshield, this seems pretty high to me since there’s always a “Corvette tax” no matter what the part is.
Unfortunately, as you can see from how much of it is parts, an OEM windshield is expensive on modern cars. It’s usually worth it, as the third party windshields may not look different, but they often sound different, as Ford is increasing their use of acoustic glass
If you are paying out of pocket, you should insist on an OEM windshield. Otherwise, the HUD may not be clear or focused.
Over 3 years.. and 50k miles. Original windshield with a couple chips.
Toyota OEM glass sucks - I had a 4Runner whose windshield would crack if you looked at it wrong, and my Tacoma didn't even make it 6 months before the windshield cracked. Dad's Highlander cracked within 6 months as well.
My 2025 forester windshield got cracked already with only 3000 miles on it.
Yup. Got a 10-12 inch crack from the very bottom in the middle of the windshield just three days after picking up the car (less than 200 miles on the odometer). The dealership said it's not a defect and something must have hit it.
Honda Glass is garbage. They break easily and get dusty/dirty super quick for some reason
it had several chips in it already, but it was after 2 years
