Wildpeak AT4Ws, 255/85r16s, never go back. True 33s, no modifications needed to the truck at all. They are beasts in the snow and ice, I wouldn't even worry about having true snow tires with them honestly. They have crushed two Northern Michigan winters in a row now.

Pros: beasts in snow and ice
Vehicle: Toyota

Continental Tires

I switched off of those to a set of Continental Vikingcontact 8 this year. I don't know if it's because my Xice were old or what but I find the contis to be about 50% (subjective, obviously) better than the michelins

Pros: better than Michelins
Cons: none

Kumho Tires

Wife had a set of Continentals on her GLE 350 and two rears had belt issue so had to replace and the same Conti’s were not available. We went with two Kumho Ecsta and they are solid.

Pros: they are solid

Toyo Tires

I like my Toyo AT3s. Just went to Pennsylvania for a project and they handled the snow and ice pretty well. It felt like I was driving in the rain with them but they had enough bite to slow me down and keep me in control on all the hills and inclined roads over there.

Pros: handled snow and ice well

MICHELIN Tires

They handle great on ice, they cut through deep snow. I didn't skid or slide much, and I didn't get pulled around during lane changes or driving my car across deep ruts.

Pros: handle great on ice
Cons: none

MICHELIN Tires

It will probably settle out to a 10-15% range loss. I went from 230 > 260 wh/mi (only about 2k miles on them).

Cons: range loss
Mileage: 3219 km

Continental Tires

I put on Continental DWS06 tires in 245/40R18 and ran them the last 2 winters. They are good all around. But I feel they lack grip on sharp turns and don’t turn in as much as I would like (in snow). They aren’t fantastic on ice either. They are good if you are going to run one tire all year round. But after the wear to the point the “S” is no longer visible, I imagine the will not do great in the winter and you’ll have to replace them sooner.

Pros: good all around, good year-round
Cons: lacks grip sharp turns, not fantastic on ice, wear quickly

MRF Tires

I burst my Elevate tyre due to my mistake (side wall damage), only 3k KMs on the odometer. MRF rejected the claim but Honda provided new tyre for free as a part of goodwill warranty.

Cons: tire burst, warranty rejected
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 3000 km
