Maxxis Tires

I'm also currently running a MAXXIS Desert IT front tire on my KTM 1090 tubeless wheel without issue. Its a hard compound tire that is designed for the tough stuff, and I also recommend it.

Pros: designed for tough stuff

Pirelli Tires

Yeah the factory Pirelli tires are hot garage. I got new wheels and went Michelin PS4S and the difference in noise was huge. It was strange on the first highway trip, I though they just had a different sound, but it turned out the noise I was hearing was wind noise over the side mirrors that the Pirellis completely masked.

Pros: huge difference in noise
Cons: Pirelli tires are hot garage

MICHELIN Tires

I put the car version of these on our Corolla last year before we sent it to our kid in CT last fall -- they said the car was great all winter, plus you can use them all year 'round. They just called us after someone blew a stop sign and pulled right out in front of them and said the car was able to stop so hard that everything flew into the dashboard which is the opposite of the Continental LRR tires that came on it where the ABS would just click uselessly on dry pavement. I didn't get to drive on them very much before we shipped the car up there, but they feel like a regular all-season tire, not a squirmy snow tire. I did pay $10 extra to get the V-rated version for a little extra stiffness.

Pros: great all winter, year-round use, strong stopping power

MICHELIN Tires

I had Michelin X-Ice on my wife’s car this past season and they were by far the quietest snow tire I’ve ever had so I stay stick with Michelin.

Pros: quietest snow tire

Falken Tires

I ran the RE71R's last year. I'm running the Falken Rt660's now. Its a very good tire that's on par with the Bridgestone. I'd say check that one out.

Pros: very good tire

Falken Tires

I’m guessing he is referring to the falken rt660. I use them on my fiesta st and am actually going to order another set next week. Pretty good tires for the price, great dry performance but wet performance is not great.

Pros: great dry performance
Cons: wet performance not great
Vehicle: Ford Fiesta

Firestone Tires

My complaints weren’t about poor traction or low limits as a performance tire. They were about how truly poor a tire they were at simply being tires. Basically in every measure of a tire they performed poorly.

Cons: performed poorly
