Better quality tierod ends are machined on the end of the ballstuds so a allen wrench can be used to hold the ballstud if necessary when tightening the locknut.

When those AcDelco tie rod ends wear out in a few miles, the play will vibrate and destroy the rest of your new parts.

Cons: wear out quickly, destroy other parts

Had almost the opposite happen to me. Got a Moog tie rod end that wasn\u2019t \u201cdone being made.\u201d One side had the hole and threads, other didn\u2019t lmao couldn\u2019t even use it!
