I've had NS race with koni reds for 3 years and they are perfect..and I drive down steels to York U 2 times a day
Same plus a set of Bilstein HD's repaired our pathetic and unmanageable vanilla TDI.
Problem was completely solved when the shocks were replaced all-round with Boge TurboGas
I have the HDs and would not have it any other way. I love them! Plus I'm confident they'll last the life of my car.
It's 100% your shocks. Get some Bilstein touring shocks, or Konis and you'll bet set.
Monroe is not a bad thing. Saleen used the Formula GP's until they started producing thier own. I have them on my Camaro, among other things, and it pulls .88 G's on the skidpad.
I'm almost positive that the standard Mk4 Bilstein sports will work fine... They are perfect for the drop you get with H&R springs so it seems they be a perfect swap out with the 337's 1" inch drop.
As you all can see, the dyno showed how the TC Sport are (as also advertised) pretty close to stock, if we look at the compression. The rebound is quiet more than stock thought. But from the graphs is pretty clear that the TC is not any near the advertised 10 or 20% stiffer than stock
My car is out of alignment too (neuspeed sport springs/bilstein shocks/17" rims). From what I am told, after having the car aligned 3 times, the only way I can get it back into alignment is to reinstall the stock springs / shocks.
