the coils can be finicky, and the middle ones are prone to failure so I\u2019ve got two new ones on a shelf. Since aftermarket coils are inexpensive I\u2019d consider just changing all six with the next valve adjustment.

Pros: aftermarket coils inexpensive
Cons: coils can be finicky
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 60000 km

Couple years ago I put a full pack of MSD coils on it, and they ran amazing right off the bat, and great for about 3 years before I had a coil fail on me while I was camping.

Pros: ran amazing, great performance

Stick with the stock Delphi’s. I went with Bosch recently and half of them died within a day (N55). FCP swapped them out, no questions asked, but still a PITA to do the work multiple times.

Pros: FCP swapped them out
Cons: half died within a day
