BEST OIL FOR A MOTORCYCLE IS SHELL ROTELLA 15W-40
Owner reviews for engine oil
Lately I’ve been using Rotella T6 in my 01 330i . Usually that or Mobil 1
Amsoil also makes a oil specially formulated for hybrid vehicles since your engine turns on and off more frequently than an average car. Amsoil has a higher Flashpoint than most conventional oils which reduces the amount of oil your car burns.
I've been putting 10w-40 ELF 70 STI regular oil in my 1.6 petrol from '98 for 3 years now with no issues.
Liquimoly
It's made in Germany. My bike is made is Germany. Makes sense to me.
It's a quality product but it's quite a bit cheaper than Motul or Penrite. I like to use something good but I won't overpay for it.
Motul 4T 7100 10w40.
Engine works like a charm, gearbox changes gears effortlessly and the oil smells nice as a bonus.
It will work. I prefer the T5 semi syn. Seems to run quieter.
Well, every shift I made from 1-5 gear was smooth af, with the other oils (motorcycles specific oils, tried them all) it just clanked a little the more the gear went up, that “kick” or “clank” made me feel like I was shifting
But with this oils It is so fkn smooth I can’t feel the gears going up or down, it just feels like it just goes up or down on gears without a single clank, noise or feel
Also it doesn’t feel like the clutch slips and engaging the clutch feels smoother
My current favorite is valvoline 5w30 full synthetic. There are oil analysis of new that show it has a high 100 C viscosity and it has a ton of really good additives.
Usually, motor oil goes bad because the additive packs that are in the oil get burned off or used up. I'd imagine that this new Mobil1 Annual Performance has more additive packs than what standard Mobil1 has but it's probably able to go that far because you're going to have to add additional oil that gets burned off because every car burns oil.
