I use Amsoil SS mainly because I do long drains, over 20k Km. So the price of the oil is not a big issue.

Great oil but worth it only if you do long drains.

I use Redline but for a million years I used Mobil 1 car oil. Before that we used Castrol 20/50 petroleum oil

I run valvoline motorcycle 20w50 in the primary and crankcase and valvoline 75w140 diff in the trans.

I used to have a B8 and kept my oil level OK as per the MMI and only used Liqui Moly oil.

Mobil 1 15w-50, Viton o-ring from any automotive or industrial supply house, Wix or NAPA(mfd by Wix) filter.

I use Mobil 1 15/50 in the engine, rotella t 15/40 in the primary, and Mobile 1 75/140 in the transmission.

I always ran castrol gold motorcycle 20w50 on my Harley's.

I paid $67 for 4 qts of lucas full synthetic oil and a filter on Amazon and just grabbed an O ring from harley. Harley's oil is fucking garbage. Lucas, Amsoil, Motul & Mobil 1 full synthetic are all damn fine products.

Castrol Power 1 isn't a bad oil, but I'd say not the best either. I have only used LiquiMoly as an alternative, so far and I rate is better than the Castrol but it did cost almost 2x as much too.

I'm running Amsoil 5w40 or Castrol Syntec 5w40. I ran Mobil1 10W30 a few times and I heard too much valve noise. When I opened the oil cap after driving around on the freeway it was smoking..which I'm not all that happy about. So I stopped using this oil.
