On my 19 I went through the same thing. Finally I bought the Gates 7PK2217 Micro-V because I read somewhere that it was a tiny bit shorter and someone on some forum claimed it stopped their issue. 6 months in and not a peep so fingers crossed

Pros: stopped the squealing issue
Vehicle: Nissan
Part number: 7PK2217

My previous e-bike had a chain and I ended up putting 45,000 kms on it before the frame finally gave out. When it came to the time to purchase the next one I went the drive belt route. I was tired of changing cassettes and chains multiple times a year. So far I have 1800 kms in the belt drive and I don’t miss the chain one bit. No more oiling cleaning etc, just a smooth ride.

Pros: smooth ride, no oiling
Cons: tire change is a pain
Mileage: 1800 km

OEM Audi Drive belt

Thank you this helped a lot.... I think the toughest part I had to deal with was those little clips getting them to snap back in. I was lucky that it was only the belt which I was able to get on Amazon for about $40

Pros: easy to get on Amazon
Cons: tough to snap clips
Vehicle: Audi TT
Part number: 8N7-862-997

Dealerships love to say drive belts are worn if they see any cracking. Cracking is normal and does not automatically require a replacement. My dealership said to replace at 60k miles and I didn't replace until 80k.

Pros: cracking is normal
Cons: drive belts are worn
Vehicle: Mazda

I tried a Dayco 1550 and this melted and cooked off in about 2 months and I was shocked as the overall length difference is 5mm.

Cons: melted quickly, incorrect length
Vehicle: Volkswagen Amarok
Part number: 1550

I have used Dayco and Gates in my 800 Doo. they typically explode within 500 miles, but that could be my wacky sled. Although I’ve never had a problem with OEM

Pros: no problem with OEM
Cons: explode within 500 miles
Mileage: 805 km
