Zimmerman rotors and Hawk HPS 5.0 pads on all four corners. Not the first time I've used Hawks like these, but they feel pretty good so far. Using Motul 600 fluid.

Pros: feel pretty good

I like Centric’s Posi Quiet brake pads. A little more bite than original pads with substantially less brake dust.

Pros: more bite, less dust

Mitsuboshi Brake pads

I have the 2015 Mirage with a manual transmission. I bought it used in 2017 with 20k miles. Paid $4000. It has 80k now. Only work I've done to it is brakes, tires and oil changes. I try to drive it to get 40 MPG. Its got a 9 gallon tank, which only cost 30 bucks to fill for a 315 miles range. Say what you will about it but it has saved me money. It does over 90 MPH on the freeway.

Pros: saved me money
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Mirage
Mileage: 128747 km

brakes on a cayman are pretty straight forward. DO NOT reuse the caliper mounting bolts they are one time use bolts. Also do yourself a favor and spend the money on factory brake pads and rotors.

Pros: straightforward installation
Cons: do not reuse bolts

Textar Brake pads

Rating 3.5

My factory textar pads would do this after a rain, or whenever it was humid out after about 50000 miles. I replaced them with some hawk hps pads and zimmerman rotors, no more squeak now! Although I am not in love with the Hawk HPS pads, a lot of people recommend them, and while I do agree they bite pretty good when they've got some heat in them, the cold bite is actually pretty bad for a "street" pad.

Pros: no more squeak
Cons: bad cold bite
Mileage: 50000 km

For my (owned 3 years, purchased used) 2014 Honda Crosstour I've always had to grind down the edges of the pad mounting plate tabs on Bosch brakes a couple of mm to get it to fit into the calipers. I have just received a new set, and while I still had to grind down the edges to get them to slide into the calipers, the top and bottom edges were MUCH shorter than the previous pads. So much so that when braking after reversing direction, the pads will shift in the calipers with a noticeable 'click' as the brake pads engage the disks to slow the car and are thus moved to the other end of the caliper. The overlap between the brake pad plate and the 'C' in the caliper where the tab meets the caliper is only 2mm or so. Definitely less than I am comfortable with.

Pros: always functioned perfectly
Cons: pads shift, noticeable click
Vehicle: Honda Crosstour
