However, the biggest difference I've noticed was going from good brake pads to great ones. I recommend anything by Project Mu (I use their RC09 "Club Racer")

Pros: great brake pads
Vehicle: Audi
Part number: RC09

POWER STOP Brake pads

I think the kit you linked would do you well, I've had ceramic pads before from Power stop. Just follow the bed in procedure and you'll be good. Less brake dust too if I'm not mistaken.

Pros: less brake dust

I emailed HAWK over two weeks ago. They thanked my for my contact and query, but haven't responded with a suggested product. I've been running their pads on my Mk6R and have been very pleased with the lack of brake dust and the bite of the braking.

Pros: lack of brake dust, good bite

Akebono Brake pads

IMO, Akebono Ceramics are the shiz. I had some on my Audi A4. Way better than stock, very little dust to clean off, and you can just get them off Amazon for less than OEM.

Pros: better than stock, little dust
Vehicle: Audi A4

Rating 4.5

Like the previous comment said, akebono is their oem supplier, imo I like raybestos the best because they’re super cheap on rock auto and they produce a lot less dust if you go with ceramic pads instead of metallic

Pros: cheap, less dust

JURID Brake pads

  • Braking:
Rating 3.5

The pads were about 60% worn and hard large metal shards embedded in them and the rotors have always been badly grooved from day 1. This suggest that its more likely the rotor that is a soft material. Once there are metal shards in the pads that will cause uneven friction and promote brake grab and pulsing. I replaced the pads and the \u201cwarp\u201d pulsing has gone completely, but I suspect the new pads will also eventually pick up metal shards from the rotor. The other point is in case people want to avoid factory pads is that the front pads are Jurid and the rears ATE. I ve replaced all with Padid.

Pros: pulsing gone, new pads installed
Cons: metal shards in pads, grooved rotors
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 18000 km

Bosch Brake pads

I bought me some Bosch ceramic brake pads that are being advertised as low noise and low brake dust. Instead, I'm getting massive amounts of brake dust on my rims.

Pros: low noise
Cons: massive brake dust
