I had the AC Delco alternator (an OEM part) in my 1994 Saturn SL2 rebuilt in 2015 by Alternator & Starter Co. At the time, no new OEM or aftermarket alternators were available for a Saturn that old, and the guru who advised me on Saturn repairs told me I would have better luck with a local rebuild rather than a commercially remanufactured replacement.

A rebuilt Denso is fine and much cheaper. $200 on RockAuto after core refund. Trust me they are perfect to use. You don't need a brand new one from Honda.
Only use Honda oem denso alternator. Yes they are expensive but you will be replacing it again if you use an off brand. Been there, done that.
I would go for the Pure Energy new Mistubishi that is 190amps for 200 bucks.
I'm showing a new acdelco 135amp alternator for roughly $163 plus shipping through rockauto.
Acdelco is oem for GM. They make high-quality parts, never been disappointed by one.
A rebuilt Denso brand alternator will be reliable. Denso box or a Honda box is what I trust, no other brands/savings are worth it.
I’ve never had an issue with a Duralast starter or alternator. However, honestly, I probably wouldn’t put one on my Lexus. I’ve generally shoved them into cheaper and simpler cars.
If you're using no-name or store-brand alternators from auto parts stores, those are hit or miss. You can get DENSO, Bosch, or Hitachi alternators instead of OEM (one of those companies makes the OEM anyway) too.
I got a alternator from AutoZone( duralast pos) and a new battery , same thing, car started with new battery ,voltage at the battery was around 12.5 and voltage directly on the alternator was the same exact voltage as the battery which showed the alternator still wasn\u2019t charging I took that alternator out got my money back and went to a reputable alternator and starter shop around my area and got a quality rebuilt one. They tested the alternator before they gave it to me and confirmed it was in working order. I installed it and still the alternator is not charging the battery , i checked voltage directly at the new alternator and still got the same voltage as the battry while the engine was running , so its still not charging the battery or producing power
Believe it or not, though I installed a brand new alternator(Duralast gold) that turned out to be bad from the start and I had to replace it again(so I guess what I’m saying is check the tention on your belt, but don’t rule out the new alternator as - also - being bad), been 2 years since tho.
