i have this setup actually.. on my 2.0. zimmerman crossdrilled and ebc greenstuff. the concensus is that for most city and highway driving, solid rotors are best, more braking surface = better stopping. however, my setup really BITES for 10.1" rotors... i just m ainly got the crossdrilleds for looks

Pros: good deal, high quality

I have the zimmermans, and I've heard numerous people tell me they've seen and heard of them cracking under heavy heated use. It kinda worries me a little, but they've been solid so far, and I've yet to really roast them... Honnestly if I were to do it again, I would probably go with the brembos even though they may be a little more expensive. whats more important to stopping, is pads. The difference between the stopping power and feel of different pads varries greatly. I've had some heavy carbon kevlar pads that took a long while to warm up but once they were warm grabbed really well, but they were kinda hard for regular street driving. I've used stock pads which pretty much suck but last forever, and I've used some softer sport street pads that wear and dust a little more, but stop far supperior to oters for regular street driving. I've yet to push them to the point of fade, but we'll see where that goes once I've got the suspension and bleeding sorted

Pros: solid so far, better pads important
Cons: heard they crack under heat, would go with Brembos

The OE rotors on the 993 twin-turbo were made by....(drum roll)..... Zimmermann. If that brand is good enough to stop a $100,000 supercar, my A2 should be child's play.

Pros: OE quality for supercars

I just bought zimmerman cross-drilled rotors for the fronts. Cross-drilled rotors are lighter but do not dissipate heat better (less material to soak up heat). Stock or slotted rotors are best for soaking up heat.

Pros: rotors are lighter
Cons: do not dissipate heat better

I got zimmermans and redbox pads. I took the car to a road course event about a month after everything was installed. No problems at all. Everything worked well and there are no visible cracks, even after extreme usage.

Pros: everything worked well
Cons: no problems

I have no complaints about my X-drilled Zimmerman's on the rear of my C. They work great, but I noticed that they do rust fairly quickly if the car hasn't been driven a lot.

Pros: work great
Cons: rust fairly quickly
