Valvoline 5w-30 full synthetic for good cold starts in winter and a royal purple oil filter for good small particle filtration.

Use either IDEMITSU Rotary oil or Valvoline Racing Oil.

Valvoline seems to be the quietest oil.

I throw valvoline 5w30 euro spec (vw 50700) cause it was cheap on Amazon.

as a small engine mechanic at my shop we use the Briggs and Stratton 5w 30 for everything because all we’re fixing is snowblowers but for my personal machines I either use valvoline or amsoil

I run Valvoline VR-1 20w50 in my '74. It is straight Dino oil but it has a higher amount of zinc in it which solid lifter cars like ours love.
