He lifted the car up and identified that it was the outer bolt on the control arm. So I will replace the control arm myself on both sides. You only need to buy one part (per side) and the replacement is simple as shown here. If you want to check if you have the same issue, you must lift the car and pull down near the outer bolt on the control arm. Mine moves about a centimetre, meaning the ball inside is exhausted. It should not move at all.
