This thing has been horrible. Leaky head gasket off the factory line, and brakes that wear in 5k miles. Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

My 2024 blew a head gasket at 19k miles.
I own a VW Passat TDi. The repairs are just more expensive and so is the maintenance. Being European, there are more electrical issues. Also the reliability is lower (I am at 270k kms and my head gasket is gone).
Head gasket replacement was an issue with 2018 and early 2019 models. Not 2020s. When mine was replaced my bumper was scratched at the bottom of the lights, the grill and headlights were out of alignment and parts were missing from the area that redirects air through the radiator.
Being a technician I really dislike them multiple have come in needing a new head gasket by 20k the rear brakes possibly due to VW changing their brake pad material will be almost at the backing plate by 15k
Doing a head gasket is easy. Only a few special tools are needed depending on the type of head bolt that is being used. Head Bolts are not re-usable in these beasties you have to buy new.
Had a Mk4 come in with \"a bad headgasket.\" Unusual repair for a model with a MLS headgasket stock...For the low price of using the wrong coolant the customer either gets to buy a used/reman head or spend big $ fixing this one.
I bought mine and have spent close to 2k on it already. Needed a he'd gasket so I did a 2.0 16v swap. But put all new gaskets, motor mounts, shift kit, etc. Don't skimpy on doing it right.
