In my case, about 1/2 to 3/4 CCW turn with philips screwdriver did the trick - now headlights aim just a little higher on each side… Importantly, I am not getting flashed by oncoming drivers while using the low-beam headlights.
I ended up adjusting mine by 0.5 turns and they're great now. I guess yours could be even worse from the factory than mine were.
Drove it for a day and the alternator crapped out. Installed a new one asap.
Figured I should close out this thread by saying I did order the windshield after spending some time with the dealer and their computer. They told me no returns on it if I am wrong about it being the windshield. So $975 (before install costs) later it came in this week and is indeed the windshield.
Had a similar experience with a VW dealership when I had to replace my Intake Manifold a few weeks ago. They quoted me 1800 dollars and said it would take 6 hours. A specialist near me quoted half on time, money, and had the car back to me in two days.
I had the ECP light issue in late June on my 2018 R with around 21k miles. The dealer diagnosed it as the wastegate, requiring a turbocharger replacement.
Yesterday I caught a rock and cracked my windshield. Less than 1k miles
Got two chips on windshield within first week of driving. Never had any with previous car.
