MOOG Tie rods

Going to echo what some people said. 2nd on moog from Rockauto. I've gotten my ZJ V8 Tie rod there and a few other TRE's off RA. So far no issues. The beefy ZJ tie rod will definitely be nice on trails. Less likely to bend unlike the XJ hollow piece of crap(have bent mine a tad before and alignment shops couldn't give me an good alignment because of that before being replaced). What others haven't mentioned- when you do the ZJ V8 tie rod you also get to add a slightly beefier TRE on the drivers side knuckle. That's a plus too.

Pros: more durable, less likely to bend
Cons: XJ tie rod bends easily
Vehicle: Jeep

I bought some Moogs from eBay a year or so ago for my '06. They were the cheapest I could find and they've been just fine.

Pros: been just fine

Very unhappy with this company right now. I was lucky to get US made tie rod ends as well, but one of the damn things popped a hole rather than grease escaping from bottom like the other side did.

Cons: boot popped a hole, grease escaped incorrectly
Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra

MOOG Tie rod ends

I’ve had the same problems with moog. I received two tie rod ends with the wrong size cage nuts. Ended up buying my own cage nuts and never got a reply from customer service.

Cons: wrong size nuts, poor customer service
Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra

MOOG Ball joint

I replaced ball joints in an f250, and after the installation, one of them will not take any grease. I made an adapter to fully thread 3 different grease guns directly to the ball joint. Ended up ripping the threads out.

Cons: will not take grease, threads ripped out
Vehicle: Ford

MOOG Ball joint

I installed 2 new moog ball joints in my 2001 honda accord. Install went smooth, added outer tie rods and got it aligned. I drove it for a day and it seemed nice and tight. Then the next morning I drive out the driveway and it goes "squeak-squawk". Driving normally seems fine, driving slowly around corners/mild bumps and it squawks like your choking a flamingo. The drivers side was sounding bad... Now I can hear the passenger side Moog balljoint squeaking and squawking now too.

Pros: install went smooth, initially tight
Cons: squeaking, squawking, poor durability
Vehicle: Honda Accord
