I’m in Ontario and using Chinese tires (Joyroad) this season too. So far they seem to be fine, got a little snow a while a back and I felt confident.
My car needed a set of tires because I was driving around on bad alignment and killed my Michelin ps4s. I wanted something cheap just to get me buy for a few months until I parked my car for the winter. I went with joyroad sport HP rx6 tires in a 225/40/18. I wasnt expecting much but was absolutely blown away with the results. They grip really well through corners while spirited driving. Cruise nicely at 110kmh in heavy rain without any hydroplaning. Stopping distance is reasonable but not comparable to my michilens which is a unfair comparison in my opinion. I purchased these tires mounted and installed for 320 CAD. I wouldn't recommend driving these in the snow even though it says m+s on the sidewall these behave more like 3 season tires. These tires so far preform better in all scenarios than my toyo extenza HP 2 tires that I used to have on. Now I liked these tires so much that I went with them on my partners Honda Accord but went with the HP rx3 instead of the rx6 models. The rx3 is definitely a more comfortable economic tire but doesn't perform as well as the rx6. In conclusion I highly recommend you putting on the joy road sport rx6 on your vehicle if you are looking for something that's safe to drive on the road to get you by. However I do not recommend the hp rx3 model.
I bought a set of 4 Joyroad RX808 Winter tires for 280$ in November 2024. I needed them for my 2006 Corolla CE. We had a mix of snow and ice storms in Montréal this year and these tires were much better than my previous set of Goodyear tires which cost $195 each. Excellent grip while driving and braking both on snow and ice. I could drive right out of small snow drifts (the Corolla isn't that high).
Used Joyroad for my winter tires and It lasted me 4 seasons no issues
The Joy Road is not a good tire.
I been using joy road winter tire since 2018 they are excellent and never give me trouble
