Reviews of GENERAL TIRE tires

I put on a set of General Altimax tires and there was a massive difference in driveability in the snow.

We are going with General Altimax RT45s on our 2025 Model 3 LR RWD. Grand touring, 700 A A, XL load. Well rated. Good price.

We replaced the OEM Firestones with a set of General AltiMAX RT45 all-seasons and they have been fantastic so far on our 2019. Quieter than the Firestones and excellent in both dry and wet.

General Altimax 365AW are the best bang for the buck in my opinion. Great snow performance (WI checking in here).

I run the same General tires. Before that, it was the RT43. Yes, the are not performance tires. What I have experienced is they get better mileage, and last a long time.

I got the Altimaxes on my older Escape, and have been very happy with them. Quieter and better handling than the Coopers they replaced.

By comparison to the Continental Pure Contacts, the General RT45s:

\u2705 Cornering feels tighter and faster

\u2705 Traction seems about equal

\u274c Do not feel as \"supple\". Slightly harsher when going over rough pavement

\u274c Do not seem to coast as long

\u274c Slightly noisier

I have had excellent luck with General Altimax Arctic and Nokian Nordman winter tires.

I like my General Grabbers personally but I do about 5% off roading in CO on difficult trails. Got a full 48k miles off the last pair and I do a lot of road driving too so was impressed

Look at maybe Nexen or General for a cheaper alternative that is more reliable.
