I have the Bilstein B16\u2019s with just over 15k miles on them, with two very busy autocross seasons. I have zero issues, no noises, no complaints.

Pros: zero issues, no noises
Cons: not rebuildable
Mileage: 24140 km

When I got my new 1992 Corrado SLC I thought the shocks were too soft and replaced them with Bilsteins. They are still fine after 30 years.

Pros: still fine after 30 years
Cons: shocks were too soft
Vehicle: Volkswagen Corrado

My E36 always sat higher after starting to use Bilstein shocks. Did NOT replace springs. B4 first and B6 after. Definitely over-damped, car almost disregards the springs and runs on shocks alone.

Cons: car sat higher, over-damped ride
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 200000 km

When my 2013 GTI hit about 90,000 miles I had the shocks/struts changed out to Bilstein B6, great ride quality and I had no intention of ever lowering the car as I commute to a city with terrible roads.

Pros: great ride quality
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 144840 km

All these shocks like Bilsteins, OME, etc are firmer than OEM, no matter what they say. They will limit lean more than OEM, but they will not be more comfortable overall than a set of new OEM shocks.

Pros: limit lean more
Cons: firmer than OEM

My Truck feels almost as cushy as my dad's 22 TRD Pro. I can hit speed bumps at easily 10mph faster without discomfort, it rides great on forest service roads and has less body roll than stock.

Pros: cushy, rides great
Cons: none
