OEM Audi Valve cover
DrDomm
  • No leaks:
Rating 5.0

After removing the valve cover to try the above suggestions, I realized it was such a pain in the ass that I wasn't gonna do it again. So, I ordered a new valve cover...aka nearly $600 PCV valve. A week later I reinstalled it. That was a month ago. No more codes.

Pros: no more codes
Cons: annoying to remove
Vehicle: Audi

OEM Audi Brake pads

The rear brake wear on the B9 SQ5 is a known thing. The programming for stability control is super aggressive on applying the rear brakes on turns to keep the rear of the car planted so the rear pads wear down fast if you are even just a moderately spirited driver. The rear pads on my SQ5 only lasted 17k before reaching 2mm

Pros: aggressive stability control
Cons: rear pads wear fast
Vehicle: Audi SQ5
Mileage: 17000 km

the 80c has been running flawless. Only difference is that my coolant stays at 83-94c. It used to get as high as 100 sometimes. Also the 80c part was recommended oe part #

Pros: running flawless, lower coolant temperature

OEM Audi Oil filter

my folks' 2008 Audi A4 2.0T was great from new to when they sold it in 2019 with 120k miles on it. Only major repair was a failed oil filter housing seal which caused a moderate oil leak at about 105k miles.

Pros: was great from new
Cons: oil filter housing seal failed
Vehicle: Audi A4
Mileage: 105000 km

OEM Audi Water pump

At 52k miles, it appears the water pump went out on our 2015 Audi A3 1.8 T FSI. It has been drinking coolant the last few months and leaving the garage smelling like anti-freeze... the coolant leak is visible beneath the airbox/battery area.

Cons: coolant leak, high repair cost
Vehicle: Audi A3
Mileage: 52000 km

It’s so incredibly frustrating how easy it is for these windshields to crack. My 2013 a5 is so prone to tiny rocks cracking the windshield

Cons: prone to cracking, easily damaged
