Not the water pump but I just had my thermostat replaced under the extended warranty. I was slowly losing coolant with no discernable leak.
Oil and filter runs about $100 for my S5. I do the change myself with a fluid extractor so it's pretty much hands off.
As others have said, keep up on maintenance. But be aware that the Audi maintenance schedule has several fluids that they consider lifetime (eg never change) that do need to be changed. These include the transmission, differentials, transfer case and power steering fluids.
My A6 has 158k on it, had to do the timing chains at 150k, the car is in immaculate shape otherwise and it was too nice to junk.
10 year old A4, original windshield. I'm considering changing it because it's scratched as fuck.
Check engine light came on in our 2014 Q5. Turns out the timing chain needs to be replaced. At the same time the vehicle is burning excessive amounts of oil.
My Q8 alternator died today. 3 year old car 36k miles on the clock. Luckily I was right next an Audi dealership with a garage when the display panel told me to stop driving and pull over safely. When the mechanics got to the car they couldn\u2019t even start it.
The only issue I’ve had with Audi over about 200k miles split between an 87 cs turbo Quattro and a 15 a5 cabrio is they each needed a water pump around 90k
my 2018 S5 slammed on the brakes randomly a few times, and I have the original windshield.
