Mk5 R32 OEM rotors and pads - made by Brembo and i believe are powder coated. They are lasting a long time and are very strong to abuse

Cheap blades costs half of a good one, and they last 3 months tops, this year, back in may, I invested a little more money and got Bosch blades, its been two months and they are still like new, if they last 6 months in that worse scenario, I'll be happy

I have about 45k miles on a set of EBC greenstuff and StopTech slotted rotors. I’m not hard on my brakes and my pad life is still good. Much lower dust than stock and roughly the same bite/engagement as stock. Maybe slightly more sensitive.

I ran r1 concepts ceramic pads and rotors on my mk6 and they were awesome for all 4 for under $450 with a 20% off coupon on their website

Zimmerman blank rotors + TRW pads. I just did my first brake change and these are silent and cost less than $400 for rotors/pads/bolts/grease.

I swapped my stocks for TRW/Zimmerman pad/rotors and so far they feel good.

Ferodo ds2500 is a great option. I’ve heard yellows are noisy/dusty. I’ve inhaled plumes of it first hand on the track.

I just replaced the pads (Bosch BE1633H) and rotors (Textar 5Q0615301G) on my MK7 R, and after torqueing everything I noticed a clunk when rolling up and down my driveway (happened only when going from forward to reverse or vice versa). I jacked the car up, took the wheels off, and checked all the bolts, everything was tight and torqued to spec. I then noticed that the brake pad itself is shifting.
