AGC Windshield
Oliver_B_
  • Clarity:
Rating 4.0

In some cases, the difference is between the aftermarket and aftermarket is big. For example the HUD in the toyota corolla works best in the AGC glass, and all the other brands distort and is a little hazy.

Pros: works best in AGC
Cons: distort and hazy

OEM Toyota Brake pads
Samson
  • Braking:
Rating 4.0

One thing that I am surprised by are the brakes. They're still fine at 110k, and it's not like this 4,000lb beast has EV-levels of regen.

Pros: brakes still fine
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 110000 km

Pirelli Tires
donnie-stingray
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 4.0

I just took off my winter tires from 2017 that have had less than 10k km use during 6 winters. I put on a pair of pirelli sf3 on the front and my old 2020 primacy 4 on the back. The car, a toyota auris feels SO much lighter and happy to turn and so, so much quieter.

Pros: lighter, happy to turn
Cons: old tires not good
Vehicle: Toyota Auris
Mileage: 10000 km

AMSOIL Engine oil

I just purchased their OE formula @ $8.99 a quart...my 2012 Camry, 2ARFE has 212k miles and started burning oil around 150K. I was using Mobil 1 since I ownWe'll, and I noticed I was topping it off every other week...Now, I'm waiting for the oil and see if this will clean up the oil control rings, ring landings, etc. I'll report back.

Pros: clean up oil rings
Cons: burning oil
Mileage: 212000 km

OEM Toyota Rear window
Priority_Initial
  • Visibility:
  • Damage:
Rating 0.5

My 2023’s rear window popped today or so it seems. I went to get my daughter’s toy in the back, climbed inside to grab it. Closed the door and checked the driver’s seat for stuff, closed that door too. A few minutes later, pieces of broken glass on the bed cover and the entire back window’s gone. Pieces on the floor and all. I was so surprised to see it. I thought someone threw a rock or something. Investigated for a rock or any foreign object inside, nothing. It’s weird cause it happened about half an hour after I got my daughter’s stuff.

Cons: rear window popped, unexpected failure
Vehicle: Toyota Tundra

Starline Wiper blades
HumdrumAnt
  • Wipe quality:
  • Streaks/chatter:
Rating 1.0

Starline is shit in my experience, went for wipers by them and they don’t even get those right, the clips undo every time I use the wipers. On a similar ECP note, audura brakes seem shit, my car has them on the front according to the service history folder (55 plate Celica). They have a noticeable lip after ~10k miles and they just feel shit. By comparison, the Eicher brand ones I stuck on the rear seem decent.

Pros: Eicher brakes decent
Cons: Starline wipers poor, Audra brakes poor
Vehicle: Toyota Celica
Mileage: 10000 km
