Shell Engine oil

It's perfectly fine for the WRX, and it's what I use in mine, as well as its two previous owners. My car's maintenance records include two reports from Blackstone Labs detailing their examination of the Rotella T6 5W-40 oil and according to those the engine has worn very well on that oil

Pros: engine has worn well

Continental Tires

I have run both .the Continental and Michelin you mention. I think the Continentals last longer and can take more abuse--at least they did on my STI

Pros: last longer, take abuse

AMSOIL Engine oil

Just finally did my yearly oil change on my old faithful 04 wrx 177k miles last week. Put 14,370 miles on the signature series 0w40. Oil sample got in today. 31% oil life. Very little brass, relative clean oil. Waiting for my rod bearings to die but if this keeps up they might last a bit longer! Keep in mind I was using amsoils 25k mile oil filter aswell.

Pros: long oil life, clean oil
Mileage: 14370 km

Continental Tires

I dirve a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX and when I moved to Colorado 2 years ago, I put on Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. I love them! They are so much better than the OEM tires were. I've driven the car on mountain roads during heavy snow.

Pros: love them, better than OEM

OEM Subaru Brake pads
FaLeX

Rating 5.0

The STi also stops hard. It turned in the shorter braking distance of the two cars, using just 114.5 feet of asphalt to haul down from 60 mph. Pedal feel is firm and progressive, and ABS operation is quiet and refined.

Pros: firm pedal feel
