Continental Tires

I just put a set of AS-07's on my 2020 Altima. Compared to the stock Continental True Contacts they are definitely better as far as handling and in the rain and snow they are much better. They are also a little bit louder on the road and it's noticable but they really aren't that loud. I'd say that for the price they are very good.

Pros: better handling, better rain/snow
Cons: a little louder

OEM Nissan CVT transmission

My 2016 Altima (purchased brand new) had the CVT transmission begin showing signs of degradation at 48,000 miles. And this was with a drain and fill at 30,000 miles. Thankfully the warranty covered a replacement.

Pros: warranty covered replacement
Cons: signs of degradation
Vehicle: Nissan Altima
Mileage: 48000 km

I'm renting an Altima, and the window cracked just sitting in the driveway. It started from the edge of the window next to the VIN. It has 9750 miles and I saw another post where the windshield broke itself at 9450 miles and another around 10k; it seems pretty sketchy that they so many break around the same mileage. The rental car company is trying to get my insurance to pay, but I feel like this is a factory defect that should be covered by the bumper-to-bumper.

Cons: window cracked, factory defect
Vehicle: Nissan Altima
Mileage: 15692 km

I just rented an Altima that had something fall onto the windshield while I was leaving the parking garage to go to work yesterday. When it was time to drive home from work, it had turned into a crack over a foot long! She said the newer ones must use a fragile glass.

Cons: fragile glass, foot-long crack
Vehicle: Nissan Altima
