Pirelli Tires

I'll be putting Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3s on my Ariya next month, and I'm in Wisconsin. They've got the insulation to help with road noise, the main reason I'm not doing CC2s.

Pros: insulation helps road noise
Vehicle: Nissan

We have crossclimate2 on our Leaf and they are excellent. Summer driving are a little louder than the oem tires. When our Ariya is ready for tires, they will be a contender.

Pros: they are excellent
Cons: little louder than oem

OEM Nissan Battery

I've owned a 2011 Nissan Sentra since it only had 10 miles. It's been 15 years and the only repairs I have had to do were my own mistakes (hitting curbs and such). I've only ever changed the bands once, but never touched anything else on the engine. The AC/Heater work the same as day 1. One of my windows won't go down with its own button, but I can still control it from the driver side. I've done basic maintenence, oil changes, new brake pads, new windshield wipers, etc. But haven't needed any major work done. Even the batteries have lasted in the car (though this specific year and model had a recall for faulty battery terminals).

The first 10 years or so, I drove it EVERYWHERE in CA. Road trips every weekend and driving through not small car friendly terrain.

In the 15 years, I crashed it twice. No serious injuries and no car blowing up (I've heard so many rumors that Nissans blow in accidents.. they don't anymore than any other car would). It's running a little funky now for the past 2 years, but again, completely my fault. The last crash was full speed at a curb and damaged the mainframe.

It's a little over 200,000 miles and I'm finally looking to get a new car, but im scared I won't find one as reliable. I've had this car since I was 18, I'm 32 now!

Pros: AC/Heater work well, batteries lasted long
Cons: one window button faulty
Vehicle: Nissan Sentra
Mileage: 321868 km

OEM Nissan CVT transmission
Iron-Working
  • Smoothness:
Rating 4.5

I have a 2014 Nissan Pulsar turbo with a CVT and I have serviced the CVT twice while I have had it and I have had no issues. If fact the guy who serviced it at Lincoln Automatics said my CVT is a good one as it is the bigger model. He said it is the smaller CVTs that are used in Swifts, Tildas and other smaller cars that are the problem. My car has done 194000 kms with no issues at all.

Pros: no issues, good model
Vehicle: Nissan Pulsar
Mileage: 194000 km

Hankook Tires

I’m in the NE, 25 p4x LWB is my daily since July. Better than my old full size pickup and my AWD SUVs in the snow. Probably my favorite to drive ever, maybe neck and neck with my 95 Lincoln town car.

Pros: Better than old pickup
Cons: window regulators slower
Vehicle: Nissan

OEM Nissan Tires

I need new tires on the Nissan at 15,000 miles and 18 months. I'm guessing that's just a stock tire problem though.

Cons: tires worn at 15000
Vehicle: Nissan
Mileage: 15000 km

Rating 3.0

I got what I was lead to believe were quality pads and rotors Akebono pads, dont remember the rotors.

Ever since i've had noise from my braking system. Took it in to get looked at and was told it was fine, just the noise was from not replacing the rotors.

Pros: quality pads
Cons: noise from braking

Hankook Tires

I have a 2022 nissan sentra sv only 2,000 miles. came with 4 hankook kinergy gt tires. advertised as all year around. These are one of if not the most dangerous all year tires I have ever driven with. These things are going to end up killing someone. Ive slid/lost traction in winter far more and for far longer with these tires also while going at lower speeds. Yesterday driving home from work I was driving down a road that lead down a hill. the hill had a stop light. so the person infront of me and I stop. mind you we were only going maybe 6mph due to weather conditions. My car stops then proceeds to lose all traction while stationary. I turn my wheel to avoid hitting the person infront of me but low and behold im STILL sliding and im about to slide into oncoming traffic at the absolute last fucking second the tires magically get grip or traction again and stop. Absolute worst tires I have ever had the misfortune of using on the road in winter. No other car ive owned with all season tires has EVER done that.

Cons: dangerous, lost traction
Mileage: 3218 km

Morimoto Headlights

I been telling people for months on here to stop spending thousands of dollars on shit that makes their car less reliable. Morimotos are well known for being an unreliable product, even if they are cool.

Pros: cool look
Cons: unreliable product
Vehicle: Nissan
