a good set of ngk plat irids will easily last 100k if the engine is kept up in all other regards, possibly longer.
MINI parts reviews
2013 cooper s bought new. Came with conti all season runflats, couldn't put down power. No grip. Harsh.
Not a month later went to Michelin A/S pilot sport all-seasons.. better, but still couldn't mash the gas coming out of a corner.
5 years later went to the ones I still run today, the Firestone Indy 500. Posh ride, great grip, and I can put full power in 2nd coming out of a corner. Behaves identical to the Yokohama S.Drives I used to have on my Rx-8. Where I live it doesn't even get down to 45\*F so I don't worry about all-seasons anymore. These do magnificent in the wet, too.
After having tyre wall damage to my Hankook run-flats, thought of switching to radials for better durability & ride comfort. Such a great decision, indeed! I finalized with Continental UC6 87V.
My Countryman has Michelin X-Ice tires in winter.
Apart from the usual maintenance when you first get the car, oil change , all filter changes, spark plugs (get iridium 4point) they are around £50-£60 for the 4. They come with them from the factory as well, I just got them myself as mini wanted over £100 for them.
You should look at Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 or Continental Viking Contact 7. I’ve used both on my Mini and I’ve used Nokians since I got my first Mini. Blizzak WS-90 are good.
I use these and they work. As my service advisor says, they are aggressive tires.
I have the K&N one. There wasn't much noticeable difference for mine, although mines a Non-S. It did save me more money long term as I only have to clean it and prime it vs replace it.
Just paid $305.22 for brake fluid change, that I hope was actually done. On a 2016 mini countryman S.
Just take care that it's full synthetic and not a synthetic blend. I ran a synthetic blend with a strong detergent package in my last mini once to try to clear some sludge, and it was not a good idea, it just exacerbated my problems.
