Hankook Tires

I replaced my tires at 30k with Hankook Ion EVO AS EV tires. They are not cheap, but they are EV-rated and have good reviews.

Pros: good reviews, EV-rated
Cons: not cheap
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 30000 km

MICHELIN Tires

Glad to hear it. Just ordered a pair for the rear of my Kia Stinger - the factory Michelin Pilot Sport 4S lasted only 15,000miles / 22,000 km. I've had really good luck with Nokian winter tires over the last decade, so hoping these are just as good. I know they won't match the grip of the Pilot Sports, but I'm not tracking the car and the Nokian is only slightly more than half the price of the Michelins, so I'm OK with that.

Pros: good luck with Nokian
Cons: less grip than Michelin
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 22000 km

OEM KIA Oil filter

176k on a 2.4L 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid.\n\nI change the oil every 5k and use Kia OEM filter. Still get 45 with no AC, 40 is I use the AC which after a recent recharge, blows 40 out of the vent.

Pros: still get 45 mpg
Cons: 40 mpg with AC
Vehicle: Kia Optima
Mileage: 176000 km

VALVOLINE Engine oil

I’ve had great luck with “Valvoline Restore and Protect” I have a Sportage with the same 2.4L, it burns 4-6 oz. every 3,000 miles. Used to burn 1 qt every 500 miles.

Pros: reduced oil burning
Vehicle: Kia Sportage
Mileage: 4828 km

OEM KIA Oil filter

I have a 2017 Kia Optima Lx 2.4 GDI 197,000 km with the same issue which is burning excessive oil. You need to make sure you use OEM oil filter on your car because I have experienced it myself by putting high end expensive oil filters which still leaked even though they fit perfect.

Pros: OEM filter prevents leaks
Cons: expensive filters leaked
Vehicle: Kia Optima
Mileage: 197000 km

OEM KIA Brake pads

The rotors/brake pads are notoriously bad. The oem pads leave uneven deposits on the rotor. Causes shaking while braking. Ive replaced rotors twice. Got better pads and drilled and slotted rotors. No issues since.

Pros: better pads, drilled rotors
Cons: uneven deposits, shaking
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 109000 km

OEM KIA Windshield

I have a 2023 Sportage SX and got a rock chip within the first month of owning it. Just got another one last month. Both while driving on the interstate. My husband was driving for the second one and didn't even know a rock had hit it, that's how small the rock had to have been. I had 3 Mazda 3's before this and never had any rock chips during those 7 years driving the same roads. I definitely think its the windshield.

Cons: rock chip within month, chips from small rocks
Vehicle: Kia Sportage

I purchased a certified pre-owned 18 Optima in 2020, and maybe months later, a little crack started out of nowhere right at the start of the top of the windshield. Over time, it spread all the way to the bottom in two different directions.

Cons: crack started out of nowhere, crack spread
Vehicle: Kia Optima

My 23 Sportage windshield cracked from the tiniest pebble hitting it. The pebble sound was barely audible. Meanwhile boulders have rained on my 2016 Flex and it’s never left a mark, let alone a crack. The windshield quality on Kia’s are crap.

Cons: cracked from tiny pebble, poor quality
Vehicle: Kia Sportage
