I am on my second Kia vehicle, and they both have been amazing. 100k miles on my optima when it was totaled, and only thing ever replaced were the brakes at like 80k miles, besides regular oil changes.
Kia Optima parts reviews
I have a Kia optima and Kias are notorious oil guzzlers. The engine system clean is for waiting too long I guess. Engine air filter and cabin air filter are easy to replace yourself.
176k on a 2.4L 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid.\n\nI change the oil every 5k and use Kia OEM filter. Still get 45 with no AC, 40 is I use the AC which after a recent recharge, blows 40 out of the vent.
73k on mine, a set of tires, oil and filter changes every 5k, air filter and cabin filter every six months. two sets of rear shocks replaced under warranty.
The only issue I’ve had with this car is the battery, they usually die in about 3years, but they are AGM batteries and they usually die within that Timeframe in Phoenix,AZ Anyway because of the Heat.
Only issue I ever had was on a 15 Optima, welds on the muffler broke when driving between 2 extreme temperatures and it was a cheap fix.
I purchased a certified pre-owned 18 Optima in 2020, and maybe months later, a little crack started out of nowhere right at the start of the top of the windshield. Over time, it spread all the way to the bottom in two different directions.
i got a duralast timing belt for my 05 optima and it only lasted 10k miles.
Nexen is shit. Hyundai kia use them as their stock tires and they are absolute dogshit. Honestly 90% of their reputation for poor ride and handling. I popped one on a pothole. 3 mm sidewall thickness.
And out of all the tires I've ever purchased, Bridgestone/Firestones have been the worst ( only exception were the FR710s on my Aura.) Followed by the garbage Nexens I had on the Optima.
