I did power stop drilled slotted with carbon ceramic pads but I got the labor for a good deal , or if your handy they Work great and look nice .
I really like my Bridgestone potenza 980(bunch of letters)
Maintenance has been 4x brake pads, 2x rotors, 4/5 sets of tires. Air filters yearly, oil changes every 7k miles.
Powerstop z23, get them from Rockauto.
Power stops. I’ve had mine in there for well over 75k. Same pads and rotors the whole time.
I have the powerstop z26 on my q, would recommend regular rotors unless u want that sporty look- they are prone to warping if not done right. Idk what i did wrong on mine, they work great but im 90% they warped within the first month
If I'm reading this date code correctly, these Toyos are approaching 6 years old. This makes sense as they are pretty noisy, could stand to be grippier and the rubber just does not feel very pliable. So I need to ditch these for some new all-seasons.
The reusable filters don’t filter as good as the paper ones you throw away. I can’t understand why anyone recommends drop ins. Just do any amount of research and everything says the OEM style paper filters that are meant to be replaced have a far better ability to filter the air being taken in. I guess the only benefit to the reusable ones like K&N or aFe are the longevity factor meaning you can clean and reuse so they cut down on maintenance cost a little.
KN filters are gay, watch freedom worx YouTube video about Oem vs KN filters. You'll wanna swap right back!
