Imo, the Honda wipers are fantastic and last almost a year. I change them based on timing, not even at the point I can't see through my windshield. And they're like $6.50 each.
Switching to single beam wipers helped from the crappy oem segmented frame ones.
Want to save money next time? Keep your original blades that come with the car new. If you don't have them, buy them at the dealer. Having the original oem blades allows you to buy the really good rubber refills at the dealer or online. The refills are A LOT cheaper than the junk you buy at the auto parts stores. These refills normally last two years or more, especially if you park in the shade a lot.
I like the OEM blades. The whole assembly is prob $40 but it’s worth the price. Should last you a few years
3 years huh? I think I have my factory-original wipers on a 16 year old Subaru. Might be different environments and usage patterns but isn't this the sort of thing you don't replace if they're still working perfectly?
We just replaced the wipers on our 2020 Subaru Outback today - they lasted 4 year!. If you have a Subaru, I highly recommend Subaru wipers. The ones we replaced were still clearing the windshield, but in Virginia they have "safety" inspections and if there's even the tiniest little tear they fail the car. So we replaced them. But they still had life left in them.
I don't own a Subaru anymore but I had a Forrester for about five years and I never found offbrand replacements that really worked… I ended up going to my dealer and buying the replacements there… They were expensive but they always seem to work right…
I had blades replaced under warranty today and the usdm Subaru blades are not even close to the same. The they are taller and wider. I went back and asked for my old blades back i hate the replacement ones that much
I got 4 months out of the OEMs and the single OEM replacement blade cost me $60 CAD and is terrible in snow and ice.
Right now you have to pay Honda’s absorbed and pricing for wiper blades that are lousy
