Wiper blades Bosch or rainx
lesson learned - Bosch ICON 365 climax and bring a flat head.. i love them they work silently and dont streak. Seriously VW and their bloody not standard wiper arms.
I ended up with some Bosch all season wiper blades. They were like $50 for the pair, but are considered premium.
After initial spray and clearing, they really do work nice, look like the factory design and have that slight wind ridge for holding tight as you drive.
I had good results from Rain-X blades.
Though aside from this advice I decided to get RainX wipers on the 1999 Camry a couple weeks ago, and I am impressed with their performance. Fill the fluid reservoir with additional Rain-X window cleaner and they work great.
Bosch Pure Vision is what I use, they always last me a year or more. I'm on the Gulf Coast in Texas and other brands of blade usually only last me a few months.
The driver's side one on mine bounces at the bottom sometimes. What I did was replace it with a Bosch 22" one vs. the OEM 24" size. That solved it for me. Additionally, it annoys me that the passenger-side wiper travels smack into my field of vision, creating an annoying line on the window in the rain that makes visibility tough sometimes. Really poorly though-out wiper design.
Go to Canadian Mutha Fucka and get the Bosch ones from behind the till in the automotive section. They come in a package with both blades. They are OEM material. 40 Bux for both.
Bosch Icons DO work, but you need to by the "clearmax 365" version to get the proper adapter.
I've tried and tried but these rain x latitude wiper blades will not click into place on the j hook on the wiper stalk! I can get them to kind of clip on but it's a really loose fit. They don't audibly click when I put them on, they just seem barely perched there.
