I've tried a lot of wipers on my others cars and my usual go-to is the Bosch Icons, but for my VW I like the OEM's the best oddly enough.. What I do is just replace them yearly, but I get some people don't want to spend that money haha. Works great in the winter while they're fresh.
Had Halfords ones for 1-2 yrs and they worked but were noisy as hell juddering across the screen. Later switched to Bosch and not only were they *silent* (in comparison) they also didn’t judder across the screen so actually cleaned the windscreen properly.
Got the Bosch Areotwin replacement wiper blades yesterday, installation was exactly like the factory wiper, snap right on with no adpators. The first thing I notice was how much better the quality was with the Bosch blade construction wise. Had a bit of rain on the drive to work this morning, the Bosch wipers were quiet and cleans with no streaks. I have always had good luck with Bosch wipers and these areotwins are no exception.
Have Bosch "ICON" wipers on another car that sits outside, hammered with UV rays, those have been on the car for about four months. They clearly are taking more of a beating, and are holding up well.
Recently switched over to Bosch Icons on my 3rd car (Mercedes B250) and felt it cleaned better than the Michelins.
The Bosch Envision line is also a direct replacement and snaps right into the Mazda connector. They're pricey.
I’ve always bought Bosch whenever I could, wipes and lasts pretty good idk about the Icon specifically though.
Michelin brand wipers are good, the RainX ones seemed to not last long for me.
Icons are my favorite off the shelf blades, otherwise if I've got the time to order them online I'll always go for PIAA Super Silicone.
Bosch Icons were an extreme disappointment for me. Lasted through one average winter and now they’re streaking like mad.
