33k miles Model Y Perf - 0 cracks.

I had my old windshield replaced through my insurance. The repair shop would use a cheap replacement windshield which in turn didn't sit well on the car and even the VIN number was obscured. It was so bad I was appalled! After some back and forth, I eventually got it replaced again with an OEM one and it looks much better.

I once got an after market replacement and hud was blurry and not usable. Insurance finally approved OEM.

I got a cx 30 used 2022 this year as well and I had already claimed the chip and windshield protection within a few months of owning the car due to one chip that turned into a crack, so far with Safelite tho it's holding up now

Yeah, there is definitely some sort of weakness in the type of glass they use IMO. Picked up my MYLR (new 2023) in August last year…35K miles and 2 windshield replacements. Both times a small chip from a rock kicked up from a semi while traveling on the interstate walked all the way across the windshield within hours.

Terrible quality. I have both MY and M3 with cracked windshield. I’ve had BMW, Audi, Honda, Infiniti, Mitsubishi and never experienced cracked windshield.

2021 Model Y with 70,000 miles. One windshield replaced about 6 months ago. Encountered random rock on I-75 in Florida.

1 month of owning 2024 MY, 2 cracks on windshield. Went to repair shop 5 other model Y in shop getting repaired.

I have never in my life gotten a chip or crack in my windshield. I’ve had my model Y for 10 days and I have TWO chips!! What the heck?? It’s a used 2021 and it’s not covered under warranty apparently

My Mazda out of no where a small crack showed up in the middle of my travel it was 3” long and by the next day it was 2 feet long When I inspected the crack it starts at the edge of the glass with no indication of a dent like something hit it
